Intro to Modern Calligraphy 1-4pm
I’m excited to be able to bring my beginner workshop to Calligrafair this year at Smitten on Paper in Monrovia! The workshop ticket includes your entry fee to Calligrafair, so you’ll definitely want to take advantage of this two-day calligraphy dream land! The workshop:
In the beginner class, you will explore and practice the tools and proper techniques of modern pointed pen calligraphy, learn how to properly hold an oblique calligraphy pen, gain an understanding of pen strokes and creating letterforms, controlling the pen, and connecting letters. In this course, you will also get an introduction to composition and styling, and personal instruction and feedback from Angi, so you can walk away with all the tools you need for developing your skill and style.
Each student will receive a complete take-home calligraphy supply set, curated by Angi which includes her instructional guide book with alphabet exemplars and styling tips.
